IMT’s Manager of Building Performance Policy, Zachary Hart joined IMT in July 2015. He leads IMT’s work on the City Energy Project, helping U.S. local governments adopt and implement policies and programs to reduce energy waste from their building stock. Zachary also supports local governments’ energy efficiency strategies through the American Cities Climate Challenge and various working groups organized in partnership with the Urban Sustainability Directors Network.
Zachary previously worked for the American Institute of Architects where he served as Director, Emerging Policy, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability. Zachary holds a BA in English from the University of Kansas and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.
