IMT’s Manager of Building Performance Policy, Zachary Hart joined IMT in July 2015. He supports the efforts of City Energy Project cities as they work to adopt and implement policies and programs to reduce energy waste from their building stock. He is responsible for supplying CEP cities with resources, tools, and technical assistance.
Zachary previously worked for the American Institute of Architects where he served as Director, Emerging Policy, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability. At the AIA, he led the development of resources and training material to help architects capture emerging opportunities in delivering energy retrofits of existing buildings. Prior to the AIA he worked on state and federal political campaigns. Zachary holds a BA in English from the University of Kansas and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.
