Audi Banny is IMT’s Associate Director for Business Engagement. She leads IMT’s work with real estate decision makers to create and adopt innovative solutions that bolster landlord-tenant collaboration, with a specialty in performance-based leasing practices that transform traditional contracts to produce healthier, higher-quality, and more-efficient leased space. In addition to her continued leadership of IMT’s nationally renowned Green Lease Leaders program, Audi pioneered the Landlord-Tenant Energy Partnership, which engaged more than 100 national landlords and tenants over five years to create win-win leasing solutions. Through her work at IMT, Audi deploys her expertise to help landlords and tenants reach environmental, social, and governance goals and to ensure building compliance with forthcoming performance-based regulations.
Before joining IMT in September 2016, she was Director of Corporate Sustainability Initiatives for Estee Lauder Companies. Her work included drafting and implementing tools to advance high performance building practices for all leased and owned retail, administrative office and supply chain sights globally. In addition, she worked as Global Manager Store Design for a luxury beauty brand Aveda. During her four years there, she drove quality design standards and built effective partnerships with external vendors and consultants in EMEA and APAC, advancing Aveda’s sustainability efforts.
Audi holds a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the University of South Florida, a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the School of Art and Design and a master’s degree in sustainability management from Columbia University. She is also a LEED AP.
