Several IMT staffers will be moderating and presenting at the conference’s official education sessions on November 20 and 21. If you're going to be in Philadelphia, be sure to catch one of our sessions:

  • Local Energy Efficiency Policies for Multifamily Buildings (Wed., Nov. 20, 3:30-4:30 pm / Room 115A, 100 Level)

This presentation, moderated by IMT’s Caroline Keicher with CNT Energy’s Anne McKibbon and ACEEE’s Kate Johnson, describes the landscape of local energy efficiency policy and recent developments that are improving the efficiency of multifamily buildings. It will also touch on utility efficiency incentives.

  • Evaluating New York City's Energy Benchmarking Policy (Thu., Nov. 21, 3:30-5:30 pm / Room 119, 100 Level)

IMT’s Andrew Burr will moderate a panel that includes John Lee of the NYC Mayor's Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, Jonathan Flaherty of Tishman Speyer, and Constantine Kontokosta of the NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress.

  • Valuing Green: Working with Tenants, Appraisers, and Lenders to Capture the Value of Green Buildings (Fri., Nov. 22, 9:30-10:30 am / Room 118BC, 100 Level)

IMT’s Cliff Majersik will moderate a panel that includes Theddi Chappell of Sustainable Values, Inc., and IMT board member Charlotte Matthews of Related Companies to discuss how building owners can translate green building attributes into value through appraisal.

  • Increasing Energy Code Compliance: The Untapped Opportunity (Fri., Nov. 22, 9:30-10:30 am / Room 121, 100 Level)

IMT’s Jayson Antonoff and Ryan Meres will be joined by NEEP’s Allison Webster to present on the importance of energy code compliance in achieving energy efficiency goals.
