IMT contributed to ASHRAE’s “Building Performance Standards: A Technical Resource Guide.” It is available as a free PDF download from ASHRAE’s Task Force for Building Decarbonization website thanks to support from the U.S. Department of Energy. It is the first in a series of planned guides.
The guide intends to provide technical basis and resources to policymakers, building owners, facility managers and design professionals when developing and implementing a Building Performance Standard (BPS). The guide focuses on larger building types and scope of BPS as developed by leading U.S. cities and states and covers BPS aimed toward reducing building operating energy use and resulting emissions.
