IMT is pleased to announce Chuck Wilson as our new Chief Operating Officer.

Chuck comes to IMT as a non-profit leader with 20 years of experience raising funds, developing strategy, and managing staff, programs, and communications with senior public and private stakeholders. Chuck has worked directly in the field of energy efficiency for over 15 years.

Prior to joining IMT, Chuck was the Director of the Small Town Energy Program (STEP) at the Alliance to Save Energy. STEP was a three-year program funded through the Department of Energy Better Buildings Neighborhood Program with the goal of reducing energy use by 20 percent in 20 percent of the homes within University Park, Maryland. From 2007 to 2011 he was the Alliance’s Director of Development, where he led the fundraising portfolio of government, foundation, and private sector donors worth $9 million.

Chuck has extensive management experience, including directing a $24 million infrastructure project in Africa, implementing energy efficiency programs in municipal facilities as a City of Ottawa employee, and leading several efficiency non-profit organizations as General Manager.

Chuck holds an MBA with high honors from the Vlerick Management School (Leuven, Belgium) and a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada).

Chuck also serves as the Board Director for Bead for Life, an international nonprofit that creates sustainable opportunities for women to lift their families out of extreme poverty in Uganda.

Chuck’s depth of experience and strategic vision are essential to IMT's mission of promoting energy efficiency in buildings. IMT's board and staff are thrilled to welcome such an outstanding leader to our team.
