Ufei Chan

Energy Data Policy Advisor, City of New York’s Mayor’s Office of Sustainability ufei@imt.org  |  212-393-2103 Ufei Chan

Ufei is an IMT employee working full-time in the City of New York’s Mayor’s Office of Sustainability as their Energy Data Policy Advisor. As part of the Green Building and Energy Efficiency team, she oversees implementation of data-related policies and programs outlined in the city’s 80x50 goal. Her work focuses on increasing the effectiveness of the Benchmarking law. She also works on legislation and financing programs for the City.

Prior to joining IMT, she worked in the Corporate Sustainability unit of Citigroup, where she reported on the bank's environmental metrics including its GHG emission and energy usage, and participated in a research piece on infrastructure finance in cities. Prior to that, she worked in a residential wind energy startup and consulted to Exelon Generations.

Ufei enjoys making her home more energy efficient in her spare time. She holds a B.S. in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.P.A. from Columbia University, and an M.B.A., with a focus in Environmental Sustainability, from Cornell University.
